Vijay TV Tamil New Year 2018 Special Shows

April 14th marks the first day in Tamil calendar. People celebrate this festival with joy and hope that the new year will bring new opportunities and growth in their lives. Star Vijay has an exciting line up of movie premieres for its viewers. A special day is incomplete without a debate show, so watch out for the Puthandu Sirappu Pattimandram show at 9 am. The mega blockbuster movie of the year starring Actor Sivakarthikeyan is Velaikaran. It’s a social thriller written and directed by Mohan Raja. The movie features ensemble cast including Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara, Sneha, Prakash Raj and many others, the film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichandran and cinematography by Ramji. Produced by R.D. Raja, the film is based on a sales executive named Arivu (Sivakarthikeyan) who fights against food adulteration committed by high-class companies. The first premiere of the movie will be on this special day at 10 am. So, don’t miss it.

And then comes another first-time movie premiere Thuparivalan. It’s an action thriller movie directed by Director Mysskin. The film stars Vishal in the lead. The film also features Actor Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel, Andrea Jeremiah and Vinay. Watch actor Vishal in a very different role he has done so far. The movie will be aired at 1.30 pm. Also, don’t miss the special episode of Super singer season 6, where the dancing legend, Prabhu Deva will make his presence on to the sets of Super singer 6. And, also don’t miss the entertaining act from Singer Benny Dayal himself for the legend. And, watch out for the contestants who sing some of his popular numbers. Also, the successful young director Karthick Subburaj, Music sensation Santhosh Narayanan also made their presence to the sets. Aruvi, a socio-political drama, written and directed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman. The film portrays the events that occur in the life of Aruvi, a rebellious young woman. The film stars Aditi Balan in the lead. The movie received widespread critical acclaim, with praise directed towards the performances of the cast and the film’s direction. Star Vijay commonly known as Vijay TV, is an Indian pay television channel that is owned by the Star India,^[1] a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India.^[2] The channel broadcasts from Kochar Jade, Guindy, Chennai.^[3] Their programs consists of family dramas, comedy series, reality shows, crime-based programmes and movies.

Star Vijay launched its own high-definition feed, Star Vijay HD, on 29 May 2016.^[4]

The channel was first launched by N. P. V. Ramasamy Udayar on 24 November 1994, as Golden Eagle Communication. United Breweries Group acquired the channel in 1995 and renamed as Vijay TV.^[5] The UTV Group bought the controlling interest from United Breweries Group in 1998. In 2001, Star India, subsidiary of American multinational mass media corporation Fox International Channels, took over the channel and rebranded it as Star Vijay. It became the first Tamil channel to air English-language films dubbed in Tamil.^[6]

On 24 November 2016, its siblings channel Star Vijay Super was launched, which airs non-stop films and legacy television shows.

Programming[edit]

Star Vijay has programming which appeals to all audiences irrespective of their age groups or demography. The channel is well accepted as the complete family entertainer with game shows, reality show, comedy, spiritual shows, cookery, talk shows, musical shows, drama, films, and events. Saint seiya episode 1. I know there are a lot of fans of this series, but I'm not one of them. And that's what happens in the first two dozen episodes, about nine hours of screen time. Seiya and the rest of the Saints that haven't been eliminated track Ikki down and battle, only to be attacked by the Silver Saints from Sanctuary.
